Osgoode Hall Law School has a new dean: University of Toronto law professor Lorne Sossin . He is to serve a five-year term starting July 1.

Prof. Sossin holds doctorates in law from Columbia University in New York and political science from the University of Toronto. He has taught at Osgoode in the past and was a litigation lawyer with the firm now called Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

McGill University's law school also has a new boss. The school appointed Daniel Jutras , a comparative law expert who was serving as interim dean, to a six-year term as dean last month.

On the move

Lawyers show no sign of stopping the lateral moves.

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP boasts that it has snagged two intellectual property lawyers from Gowlings LLP in Ottawa. Jamie Mills has joined BLG, as has Chantal Saunders , both as partners.
