CIBC World Markets deepened its fixed-income team this week by landing a pair of derivative experts from rival domestic dealers.

Former TD Securities executive Dmitrie Frolov joined CIBC World Markets on Monday as an executive director, responsible for interest rates derivatives. He has 13 years of experience in this field, and will focus on U.S. interest rate options trading.

To cover governments, large corporate clients and institutional investors, CIBC World Markets brought on Scotia Capital veteran Trenton Mackenzie-Armes as an executive director in what the Toronto-based dealer calls its "corporate solutions group." Mr. Mackenzie-Armes will help clients across the spectrum of products available in this space, including interest rates and commodities exposure, as well as credit, equity and foreign exchange derivatives.
