Over the past few weeks, there have been a few notable names moving around the Canadian financial industry that deserve mention.

They include a new vice-chairman at the expanding Canadian arm of Credit Suisse, a new partner at exchange-industry consulting company Capco and a new analyst at growing boutique Fraser Mackenzie.

The biggest name is Brian Felesky, a veteran Calgary tax lawyer who has joined Credit Suisse as a vice-chairman. He's charged with being a senior rainmaker in Calgary, where Credit Suisse is focussed on driving more business in the energy patch. As far as connected folks in Calgary go, Mr. Felesky would be right up there, having served on many boards, including Suncor, and having been deeply involved in civic life.

Also in Calgary, Fraser Mackenzie recently added Chris Bolton as an oil and gas research analyst. He comes from BMO Nesbitt Burns, where he spent nine years working in research and investment banking.

Back in Toronto, Wendy Rudd, who was chief executive officer of the TriAct Canada stock trading system, has moved to Capco where she is a partner. Capco is a consulting firm that works with financial industry players, and Ms. Rudd will focus on Capco's capital markets practice working with Canadian dealers, markets, vendors and regulators as they try to cope with the fast-changing world of trading.
