Davies Ward Philips & Vineberg LLP has a new managing partner in Toronto: Shawn McReynolds, a 24-year veteran of Davies with major financing deals and takeovers under his belt.
The move will take effect June 1. Mr. McReynolds replaces William O'Reilly, who will retire after 14 years at the helm.
Mr. McReynolds acted for ING Group NV in the sale of its stake in ING Canada Inc., and for Tim Hortons in its $900-million initial public offering by Wendy's International Inc.
In a statement, Mr. O'Reilly described his successor as "the obvious and unanimous choice of the partners to assume this role."
