UBS is adding to its sales desk in Toronto, reeling in Anita Hawkins from Salman Partners to help cover Canadian money managers.
Ms. Hawkins spent the past three years at Salman, where she worked with Canadian and U.S. accounts. Ms. Hawkins will be an associate director at UBS.
UBS is rebuilding around the globe after a tough year, when the bank was hit hard by the financial crisis, which cut into pay at the securities arm. In fact, the bank decided not to pay cash bonuses to senior people after failing to make a profit in 2009. (You'll find a story on that here, courtesy of the Financial Times.)
