The U.S. Conference Board releases its consumer confidence report for April. Economists expect a current confidence reading of 54, up from 52.5 in March.
3M Co. reports first-quarter results. Analysts expect share profit of $1.21 (U.S.), up from 81 cents a year ago.
United States Steel reports first-quarter results. The company's per-share loss is expected to narrow to $1.45 (U.S.) from a loss of $3.84 a year ago.
