Financials lead decline on TSX
Canadian stocks slipped 0.1 per cent as U.S. job losses overshadowed Canada's fastest economic growth in three years. Royal Bank led a decline in financial shares, dropping 0.5 per cent. TD also lost 0.5 per cent, while Sun Life fell 1.2 per cent.

Miners rally as bullion prices advance
Barrick Gold rose 1.1 per cent, as the price of the precious metal gained on investor demand for an alternative to the U.S. dollar. Goldcorp increased 1.2 per cent, while Noront Resources climbed 1.9 per cent. Gold for June delivery settled at $1,114.50 (U.S.) an ounce, up $8.80.

U.S. markets fall on jobs, growth data
U.S. stocks fell, trimming a fourth-straight quarterly advance, as private reports showed employers unexpectedly cut jobs this month and business activity grew less than forecast. The S&P 500 index decreased 0.3 per cent, while the Dow fell 0.5 per cent.
