Aurora begins oil sales to German pharmacies

Aurora Cannabis announced Monday that it has started selling cannabis oils to pharmacies in Germany after receiving all necessary approvals from Canadian and German regulatory authorities. The company said Pedanios 5/1 drops have become the first extract-derived oil product compliant with the German monograph for in-pharmacy preparation. Edmonton-based Aurora has supplied the German market with dried cannabis flower via Aurora Deutschland (formerly Pedanios) since December, 2015, and with Canadian-grown Aurora products since September, 2017. “Having established early mover advantage in selling cannabis oils in Germany, we are exceptionally positioned to extend our market leadership and accelerate growth of our European operations,” said Neil Belot, chief global business development officer.

Donnelly Group to open nine Hobo cannabis stores

Canadian hospitality company Donnelly Group said Monday it is launching a chain of cannabis retail stores. Donnelly said nine locations of Hobo Recreational Cannabis Store will open British Columbia and Ontario beginning next month. The company says eight stores are now confirmed for B.C., including locations on Granville Street, Main Street, and Commercial Drive. The first Hobo location will launch in Ottawa on April 1, coinciding with the roll out of the province’s new private retail model. The store, located on Bank Street in Centretown, was home to a popular dispensary, and will re-open under the operation of Hobo through the acquisition of one of five Eastern Ontario licenses offered in the ACGO’s retail lottery.

Supreme seeks Maltese production licence

The Supreme Cannabis Company said Monday it has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Malta Enterprises, the econoic development agency of Malta. The company says the LOI is the first step of its application for a cannabis production licence in Malta. Obtaining a production Licence would allow Supreme to produce and process cannabis for medical use within Malta. If approved, Supreme says it intends to produce products containing EU GMP quality cannabis oil and pursue regulated medical cannabis distribution opportunities in the European Union.
