BRIAN SNYDER

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Aaron Hill has been scratched from the starting lineup for this afternoon's game against the Texas Rangers with right hamstring tightness.

As a result rookie Michael McCoy will make his Blue Jays debut, batting leadoff and replacing Hill at second base.

Right fielder Jose Bautista, who has batted lead-off in Toronto's first two games, has been bumped to No. 2 in the batting order.

Hill, who has collected one hit in eight at-bats in his first two games, is being listed as day-to-day by the American League club.
