Heat centre Zydrunas Ilgauskas was admitted to a South Florida hospital because of an infected foot and it's unclear when he will return to the court.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Ilgauskas was hospitalized Saturday to receive intravenous treatments and that the team expected him to be released sometime Sunday.
Ilgauskas stepped on a nail at his home several days ago, getting punctured through his shoe. Ilgauskas played Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers without problems, before the infection worsened.
He is not expected to play Monday when Miami hosts San Antonio.
Ilgauskas is averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds this season for the Heat.
