The 2009 season was a good one, on and off the field, for the Edmonton Eskimos.

Edmonton returned to the West Division playoffs last season for the first time in four years, posting a 9-9 record to finish third. And on Tuesday, the CFL club announced at its annual general meeting that it registered a 2009 profit of $416,492.

Edmonton had an operating income from football operations of $508,874, up from $344,713 in 2008. Also, operating revenues increased $371,000 to $15.239 million.

Operating expenses were $14.73 million, up from $14.523 million in 2008.

Club shareholders also re-elected board members Diane Brickner, president & CEO of Peace Hills Insurance, and Harold Roozen, president & CEO, CCI Thermal, to second three-year terms.

Directors also selected Doug Goss as board chairman, Allan Sawin as treasurer and Bruce Bentley as secretary.
