Chan Kim maintained his third round advantage to score a comfortable eight stroke win at the Canadian Tour's Florida Winter Qualifying School in Florida on Friday.

Players were forced to play 36 holes on Friday after severe weather forced Thursday's round to be cancelled. Kim had 11 birdies and just two bogeys over the final two rounds to finish at 15-under par.

Kim, an Arizona State grad who lists Mike Weir as his favourie golfer, is one of six golfers who earned exempt status on the Canadian Tour. Americans Joe Panzeri and Kyle Kallan, Roger Furrer of Switzerland, Peru's Rafael Claux and Canadians Darren Wallace of Langley, B.C. also picked up their tour cards.

Wallace, who became the youngest player in Canadian history to win the Canadian Amateur Championship at the age of 15, played the final day at 1-under par to finish the tournament 2-under.

Scott Loewen of Winnipeg, who turned pro last spring after finishing up his degree at Boise State University, moved into the top six after posting the lowest score of the final round, 66. However, he lost on the third playoff hole against Claux for the final fully-exempt card, meaning he will have non-exempt status this year.

Victor Ciesielski of Cambridge, Ont., squeezed into the top 12 with a final round 70, however, his tie for eighth also gives him non-exempt status this year.

The remaining golfers in the top 12 included Americans Justin Regier, Craig Leslie, Robert McRae, Andy Moren and Englishman Simon McGreal.
