The Champions Tour's only stop in Canada will be held at Club de golf Le Fontainebleau again in 2011, tournament organizers said Tuesday.
The course in Blainville, Que., played host to the inaugural Montreal Championship this past summer.
Tournament director David Skitt said Fontainebleau, owned by ClubLink, was popular with the players, tour staff and spectators. "The decision to return to Fontainebleau was an easy one."
Larry Mize won this year by a stroke over John Cook after firing an eight-under-par 64 in the final round.
More than 54,000 fans attended during tournament week and organizers expect bigger crowds next year. "The people of Quebec embraced this tournament this past summer and we fully anticipate that support growing in our second year," Skitt said. "I believe we have a head start in realizing our goal of becoming the best stop on the Champions Tour."
The second Montreal Championship is scheduled for July 1 through 3.
