Tiger Woods arrives in AustraliaRyan Pierse
Tiger Woods has arrived in Melbourne to defend his Australian Masters golf title and tournament officials are hoping to make his stay as pleasant as possible.
Fans attending the event have been warned that if they heckle the world number two over his personal life problems, they will be booted from the tournament.
While golf fans throughout the United States and Europe have been generally well behaved when it comes to berating Woods about his infidelities, officials at the Victoria Golf Club say hecklers will get one warning before being shown the gate.
The Australian event is the last title Woods claimed before his Thanksgiving accident which saw his personal life unravel after allegations of cheating were proven true.
Tournament officials are also taking some heat for using taxpayer money to pay at least half of Woods' $3-million appearance fee at the event.
Bookmakers have made Woods a slight favourite in the event over Australian golfer Geoff Ogilvy.
