Two Canadian women have finished in the top 10 at the Duramed Futures Tour's qualifying tournament.
Stephanie Sherlock, a 23-year-old from Barrie, Ont., who turned pro this year, tied for third place at the event in Winter Haven, Fla. She finished at two-under-par 286, seven shots behind winner Natalie Sheary of the United States.
Amateur Sara Maude Juneau of Fossambault, Que., was one stroke behind Sherlock sharing fifth place.
The Q-school is used to determine status on the developmental circuit for 2011. Exact status will be determined after the LPGA Tour holds its final stage of Q-school in December.
Sherlock has qualified for the LPGA Q-school's final and could earn playing privileges on the big tour. But her third-place finish in Winter Haven means she'll have Duramed status next year at least.
Seema Sadekar (tied for 32nd) of Toronto, Nicole Forshner (tied for 63rd) of Banff and Kirby Dreher (tied for 81st) of Fort St. John, B.C., also made the cut.
