Stephanie Sherlock's tie for 32nd place at the Kia Classic on the weekend has earned the LPGA Tour rookie a spot in the Kraft Nabisco Championship field this week.
The top-10 Kia finishers (and ties) who weren't already eligible for the LPGA Tour major earned berths. Sherlock of Barrie, Ont., Pernilla Lindberg of Sweden, Becky Morgan of Britain and Kris Tamulis of the United States were the final four to get in.
The Kraft Nabisco Championship begins Thursday in Rancho Mirage, Calif. It'll be the third LPGA event of the year for Sherlock, who missed the cut in her season debut at the LPGA Founders Cup before rebounding with the 32nd at the Kia Classic in Calfornia.
The only other Canadian in the Kraft field will be Alena Sharp of Hamilton.
Sherlock, 23, earned $10,488 (U.S.) at the Kia Classic for her biggest payday as a pro. She also moved to No. 463 in the official world ranking Monday.
