Bubba Dickerson held on to his lead through two rounds of the Stadion Classic in Georgia. The former U.S. Amateur champion, who hadn't led a Nationwide event since the 2009 Louisiana Open, shot an even par round of 71 on Friday which was good enough for a one stroke advantage over Joel Edwards and Matt Hendrix.

Seven golfers are in a group two shots back led by Patrick Sheehan and Luke Hickmott, who both shot the low round of the day - 6-under 65.

Dickerson hit half the fairways and only 10 greens in regulation and had 29 putts, including one 3-putt for par, but still held it together well enough to give himself a shot for his second career win.

"The wind was brutal. Swirling makes it the hardest. When it keeps stopping and going the other way it's just tough," said Dickerson. "I just couldn't get settled over the ball and changed clubs a lot."

Edwards, who turns 50 in November and has his eyes on the Champions Tour in 2011, has nearly 400 PGA TOUR starts under his belt but has been plagued by back and elbow problems that have relegated him to part-time status for the past five years.

Hendrix, who hasn't had a full-time place to play since 2006, parlayed a Monday Qualifying spot at last week's South Georgia Classic into a tie for 10th place which earned him a start this week.

For the second week in a row Jon Mills has put himself in contention heading into the weekend. The Belleville, Ontario golfer shot a 1-under 70 to leave him five shots off the pace. He had four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey.

James Love of Calgary struggled to a 74 and sits seven strokes back.

A total of 76 players made the 36-hole cut, which came at 2-over-par 144.

Richard T. Lee of Vancouver shot a second round 71 but a bogey on the second last hole of his round, the par-3 eighth, left him one stroke over the cut line.

Chris Baryla of Vernon, B.C., shot 74 and missed his second Nationwide cut in three starts. He has yet to make a cut in eight PGA Tour events this season.

Matt McQuillan of Kingston, Ont., playing in only his second Nationwide event of the season, also missed the cut after shooting 76.
