David Hearn shot a 4-under 67 to move to within one stroke of the lead after three rounds of the Albertsons Boise Open.

Hearn, playing on the Nationwide Tour for the first time this season after being eliminated from the FedEx Cup playoffs three weeks ago, had five birdies and a bogey on Saturday to sit in a five-way tie for second. It's the first time all year he has carded three straight sub-70 rounds.

His best finish on the PGA Tour this year was a tie for sixth at the Houston Open.

Jason Kokrak. who was born in North Bay, Ont., birdied his first six holes on his way to an 8-under 63 and a share of the lead at 14-under par with Rahil Gangjee, who had two eagles but a double bogey on the final hole for a round of 64.

Luke List, Martin Flores, Billy Horschel and Troy Merritt are all tied with Hearn at 13-under par.

A total of nineteen golfers are within three strokes of the lead including Jonas Blixt, who opened the tournament with a 62 and led through the first two days. He stumbled in the third round to a 74.

Jon Mills of Belleville, Ont., is eight shots back after shooting 70 while Jamie Sadlowski of St. Paul, Alta., shot 73 and slipped to 1-under for the tournament.
