Vancouver Canucks have signed goaltender Joacim Eriksson.

The 6-foot-1, 189-pound goalie played for Skelleftea, champions of Sweden's Elitserien, last season. He posted a record of 21-9-0 with a goals-against average of 1.67, a save percentage of .931 and five shutouts through 30 games.

He added a 1.06 GAA and a .952 save percentage in 10 playoff games.

The native of Gavle, Sweden was originally selected by Philadelphia in the seventh round, 196th overall, in the 2008 NHL draft.
