Hockey Canada has proposed plans for an Open Ice Summit in August that would focus on improving player safety at all levels of hockey. The issue of headshots and concussions in the sport has received the bulk of the media spotlight in the wake of a number of incidents in junior hockey this season, but NHL commissioner Gary Bettman says his league is also serious about cracking down on checks that leave unsuspecting players exposed to serious injury.
We want to hear from you, the hockey fan, player or parent, on what should be done to reduce head injuries in the game. What would you say if you were given the chance to address the hockey community at the Open Ice Summit?
