The fallout of the Zdeno Chara hit on Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty has us plenty busy this morning, so we'll keep today's entry short and sweet. The Broad Street Bullies are in town (7 p.m. Leafs TV) and losing isn't an option if the blue and white hope to stay in the playoff race.
How desperate are the Leafs for two points? Our boy Mirtle breaks it all down here, including the opinion that Toronto likely needs to win 10 or 11 of its final 15 games to make the postseason.
Mirtle should have a fresh game day piece for this space this afternoon. We'll also tape the latest edition of the Globe Hockey Roundtable podcast this afternoon.
Until then, the links:
Mirtle channels the CBC's Elliotte Friedman, putting together a list of 10 thoughts on the Leafs.
Toronto Star reporter Mark Zwolinski on Ron Wilson showing a little patience with his squad.
National Post reporter Eric Koreen on Wilson juggling his lines.

Rich Hoffman at the Daily News says the Flyers' recent struggles are no cause for panic.
