Canada's Jennifer Jones cruised to an eighth straight win at the women's world curling championship with a 10-2 victory over Moe Meguro of Japan.

The Winnipeg foursome remained the only unbeaten team in the 12-team field at 8-0.

Canada is slated to meet Germany's Andrea Schopp (4-3) in the afternoon draw.

The top four teams at the conclusion of the round robin Thursday advance to the playoff round.

Only twice has a team gone undefeated in the round robin in the history of the tournament: Canada's Colleen Jones in 2003 and Sweden's Anette Norberg in 2005.

Scotland's Eve Muirhead was 6-1 and Erika Brown of the U.S. was 5-2.
