Chris Evert is headed into the Rogers Cup Hall of Fame.
The three-time Rogers Cup champion will be inducted in a ceremony Aug. 16 during the evening session of this year's women's event at Uniprix Stadium.
"Chris Evert is one of the greatest players of all time, a legend of the game who has become a significant part of tennis history as well as the history of the Rogers Cup," tournament director Eugene Lapierre said in a release. "She remains one of the most popular and recognizable faces in women's tennis and we are thrilled to be inducting her into our Hall of Fame."
Evert was a Rogers Cup finalist twice and also reached the semifinals twice. Her championship run in 1974 in Montreal was also her first Rogers Cup appearance.
Evert won 154 WTA Tour singles titles, and her 18 Grand Slam singles triumphs tie her with Martina Navratilova for fourth all-time.
