The Canadian mixed curling championships takes place in Morris, Man.DAVE CHIDLEY

PEI and Nova Scotia kept the pressure on first-place Manitoba with wins in Tuesday's late draw at the Canadian mixed curling championships.



Nova Scotia's Paul Flemming improved his rink's record to 5-1 with a 9-1 rout of Quebec's Simon Hebert. Flemming scored in six of the game's seven ends, causing Hebert to concede before the start of the eighth.



Quebec fell to 1-5.



PEI's Robert Campbell also improved to 5-1 with a 9-6 win over New Brunswick's Charlie Sullivan.



Sullivan led 6-4 heading into the 10th and final end, but Campbell's rink scored a huge five points to send New Brunswick into a tie for third with idle Ontario at 5-2.



Manitoba's Terry McNamee leads with a record of 6-1.



In other 10th end action, the Northwest Territories/Yukon rink improved to 2-4 with an 11-8 win over Newfound and Labrador.



Newfoundland slipped to 1-6.



British Columbia also improved to 2-4 by beating Saskatchewan 10-5.



Saskatchewan fell to 1-5.
