Brad Hannah's Alberta rink dealt Manitoba's Kelly Robertson his first loss at the Canadian men's senior curling championships in Tuesday's late draw.

Hannah scored two in the first then stole one in the second en route to a 7-5 win over Robertson, who entered Draw 10 with the only unblemished record at the tournament.

Newfoundland and Labrador's Jeff Thomas moved into a tie for first with Manitoba at 6-1 after defeating New Brunswick's Wade Blanchard 8-6. Thomas scored two in the ninth end and stole one in the 10th to cement the win.

Alberta moved into a tie for third at 5-2 with idle Saskatchewan.

In other Draw 10 action, Northern Ontario beat Quebec 9-4 and B.C. downed P.E.I. 10-4.

In women's competition, New Brunswick's Heidi Hanlon moved into a tie for first place with a 6-4 win over Newfoundland's Laura Phillips.

New Brunswick scored two in the 10th end to improve to 6-1 and move into a tie with idle Ontario atop the standings.

Alberta's Diane Foster improved to 5-2 and moved into a third-place tie with Saskatchewan after a 6-5 win over Manitoba's Deborah Popovic.

In other Draw 10 action, P.E.I. downed B.C. 8-6 and Northern Ontario edged Quebec 9-8 in an extra end.
