Canadian Olympic champion Kevin Martin and Jeff Stoughton of Winnipeg each picked up victories Thursday to remain undefeated after five draws at the Car and Home World Cup of Curling.

Edmonton's Martin won 6-2 over Norway's Thomas Ulsrud (1-2), while Stoughton topped Glenn Howard 8-5 as both rinks moved to 3-0.

Howard dropped to 2-1.

Local favourite Bard Jacobs (2-1) kept Vernon, B.C., native Jim Cotter (0-3) winless with a 6-5 win, while John Epping (2-1) did the same to fellow Toronto native Mark Kean (0-3) in a 7-6 victory.

Edmonton's Randy Ferbey (2-1) edged Greg Balsdon of Kingston, Ont., 7-6, as Balsdon dropped to 1-2.
