Canadian flanker Adam Kleeberger, who turned heads with his play and big beard at the Rugby World Cup, has signed with London Scottish.
The 27-year-old from White Rock, B.C., has signed for the remainder of the 2011-12 season. London Scottish (3-11-0) currently stands 10th in the 12-team Championship, which is one tier below the Aviva Premiership.
"Adam will be a very important player for us over the remainder of the season," coach Simon Amor was quoted on the London Scottish website. "He is an international player who has performed to a high level on the biggest stage of them all, and he will add a greater physical edge to our play.
"He was an iconic player in New Zealand, and his rugby reputation speaks for itself. I am delighted to welcome him to London Scottish, and look forward to seeing what he can do."
Kleeberger, who shaved his bear for charity after the World Cup, could play Boxing Day against Moseley.
