The Toronto cannabis shop that received a legal notice from FIFA for selling an unauthorized 'FIFA Bong' destroyed the objects on Monday morning. Still, the owners are riding high on the instant fame the obscure store has received over the last two days because of their skirmish with one of the world's biggest sporting organizations.

A Toronto cannabis shop selling bongs that resemble the World Cup trophy has been given a red card from the tournament’s organizer.
Cosmic Charlies co-owner Sean Kady says a law firm representing FIFA sent a letter today to both of his stores demanding he stop selling the golden bongs because they infringe on the organizer’s copyright.
The firm is also asking Cosmic Charlies to turn over receipts, marketing materials and information on how many of the $50 bongs it sold and what its profits were.

Kady says he sold just one to a customer who paid in cash and didn’t even plan on smoking with it.
He says the customer wanted the bong as a time capsule.
Kady plans to comply with FIFA’s request and says he will frame the letter as a memory.
