Bologna has fired coach Franco Colomba a day before its Serie A opener against five-time defending champion Inter Milan.
Club president Sergio Porcedda announced Sunday that Colomba said he was prepared to embrace our club's ideas, "and then he didn't do so."
Mario Beretta and Alberto Malesani are being considered as possible replacements, with a decision expected by Wednesday.
Youth squad coach Paolo Magnani will manage the team against Inter on Monday.
Under Colomba, Bologna finished 17th in Serie A last season.
