Toronto FC captain Dwayne De Rosario has been chosen to the MLS all-star first team.
But players from the Los Angles Galaxy and Real Salt Lake dominated the first 11 players chosen. The Galaxy provided four players and Salt Lake three.
The all-stars will play Manchester United on July 28 at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
The 11 MLS all-stars were chosen in balloting by fans, players, media, and coaches and general managers. The 11 won't necessarily form the MLS starting lineup. All-star coach Bruce Arena will select the starters based on player availability and tactical considerations.
"Every time you get a nomination to the all-star team I have to credit the guys around me," De Rosario said. "They're the ones that make me an all-star, we're all all-stars and I'm grateful to the fans, coaches, players and media that voted for me. I'm going to take the honour like always with humble respect and go out there and show why I was picked."
The roster will be fleshed out Monday with 10 additional coaches' selections and two commissioner's picks.
