Toronto FC traded midfielder Nathan Sturgis to the Houston Dynamo on Thursday for a conditional draft pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
The 24-year-old Sturgis appeared in 14 league games — including 11 as a starter — with Toronto last season. The American also played in one Nutrilite Canadian championship match.
Sturgis was selected by the Vancouver Whitecaps in the third round of the 2010 MLS expansion draft but was quickly dealt to Toronto for a 2011 first-round pick.
