Who wouldn't like the power of a god? Controlling your own planet and being worshipped is all possible with GodFinger.

Ngmoco has created a highly addictive world inside your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Even when you're not tending to your pocket-sized world -- your trusty worshippers are still working away to bring you greater power.

The key to success as a god is to make believers out of your animated followers and keep them believing. Players can convert the tiny people into followers by doing wondrously god-like things such as making it rain or turning on the sunshine.

The ability to perform miracles relies on the level of belief you've generated, called mana. As you run low on mana, just drop your worshippers beside a totem pole and watch your levels regenerate as they pray. And the great thing is they keep on bowing and dancing around the totem after you've turned the device off so levels are always topped up when you come back.

But worship doesn't come for nothing. Tap your people to see what they require -- there's no guessing work, you can see their prayers. It's a necessary task to keep them happy considering they will earn gold for you by performing activities like growing crops.

The Awe store, GodFingers' online store, contains lots of goodies and powers for users to unlock. Players will need to earn awe points, gold and mana to purchase items such as the power of lightning.

However, like any all-powerful deity, being omnipotent doesn't always mean you have to be good. Your godly arsenal can be used to damage and destroy, too. Your call.

With the option to share online, your achievements and in-game photos can be posted to Facebook or Twitter. GodFinger uses the Plus+ network to connect with the gaming community and post completed goals. Another nice feature that helps you keep tabs on your world is the ability to receive updates through push notification.

After the initial 10 Awe points run out, users can only gain more by purchasing from the Awe store with real-world currency -- and it starts at $2.99 for 35 points. Awe is used to quickly regenerate your people, but buying it is not a requirement -- your peeps will regenerate with a little rest.

GodFinger is beautifully designed and addictive game by Ngmoco. The humorous cartoon style visuals are sure to suck you in.

Android Head to Head -- Balancing Budgets

A wise person once said " A fool and his money are easily parted". Smart phone users may look a little less foolish with their devices available to keep up the balancing act and answer the age old question ... "Where did all my money go?"

With the use of camera integration, the organizing and recording of transactions has never been more efficient. From the ability to scan the barcodes of purchases to taking snapshots of receipts, mobile apps have elevated the old school method of bookkeeping. With over 50,000 Android apps now residing in the Market Place there's quite a few that promise to be your digital banker but many of them will leave you short-changed when it comes to the GUI and features.

Which Android app will help you balance your books?

Tie Your Money (free) Android By MDEPlus. Click on the link or scan the bar code with your Android phone.

Tie Your Money manages the essential aspects of your budget and delivers a detailed report that keeps track of your income, accounts and expenses. Users can manage their credit cards and bank accounts, which can be password protected, right from the phone, as well as add all purchases and payments.

Purchases can be added individually or included into categories such as auto, bills or entertainment. If you take the time to properly categorize, the app will filter the data and deliver tidy financial reports by date, profile or account. All of that data can be exported via e-mail and SMS and individual transactions can be shared via Twitter.

Two special features make this app stand out -- being able to add income and expense numbers through a speech-recognition feature and using your phone's GPS to geotag not just how much you spent but exactly where you spent it. Tie Your Money also lets you attach media to your entries for even more complete records. You can scan a product's barcode, or shoot a upload an audio or video clip or snap a picture.

Cashew (free ) Android By Intelliarts Team. Click on the link or scan the bar code with your Android phone.

Cashew offers a simple and friendly interface for keeping an eye on personal finances. Users can create multiple accounts for banks and credit cards and set up handy customized categories and sub categories to keep track of groups of expenses. For example, under the Car category, a user can create sub categories for gas, repairs and insurance.

One of Cashew's best attributes gives users a lot of flexibility when it comes to crafting expense reports. You can run reports by specifying criteria such as date, account type, category and status (paid/outstanding) or create your own. The status of the transaction can be set to address whether or not the charge has been reconciled, a feature not included with Tie Your Money.

Another nice addition is the built-in calendar and calculator for quickly figuring out tips and currency conversions. And although you can't attach media, notes and payee info can be added to each transaction --useful but not as cool as scanning the barcode of your latest toy.

The Bottom Line:

Both Android apps are free but because of its ability to attach media, export data and run report graphs, Tie Your Money is the must-have for the budget-balancing Android user.
