EU and Canada announce new security and defense pact

After a new security pact was announced between the European Union and Canada, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said the agreement will strengthen Canada's role in Europe's "defense architecture," while Prime Minister Mark Carney said the new partnership provides for "increased cooperation across the full spectrum of security."
