Emma Bolzner

Emma Bolzner is an academic intern for The Globe and Mail. She is a journalist based in B.C., following her passion for becoming a reporter through a variety of different media.

Emma began working as a reporter for Black Press Media. At BCIT, she interned at CHEK News as a multimedia reporter, and most recently worked in Belgium as a social media manager.

Her specialties include representing marginalized groups, including covering Vancouver's Women's March and the Special Olympics. Her passion lies in writing stories on climate change and the environment.

She won the Alexis Mazurin award for her audio documentary "Return to the Creek" last year. Emma also is interested in writing stories on women's health and on female athlete's representation in the media.

When she isn't chasing down a story, Emma enjoys horseback riding, going for walks at Jericho Beach and pilates.
