Maia Tustonic was an academic intern for The Globe and Mail. She is an Ottawa-based journalist who writes about business and politics, and served for two years as the news editor of the Charlatan, the university’s independent student publication.
Maia has written breaking news stories and carried out in-depth coverage on a wide range of stories, from social issues to national elections to city news. She has won two national student journalism awards for her coverage of university financial deficits and advocates' concerns about academic censorship.
Her work has appeared in the Toronto Star, the Ottawa Citizen and several Ottawa-based student publications.
