Matthew Frank is a Toronto-based national reporter for The Globe and Mail. Prior to joining Canada's newspaper of record, he covered municipal affairs, school boards and provincial court at The Carillon, a weekly newspaper in southeastern Manitoba.

He swapped dress shoes for work boots while covering rural communities, traipsing through muddy fields and driving hundreds of kilometres in blizzards for scoops.

Matthew has also previously reported for the Winnipeg Free Press and CBC Manitoba.
