Zarif Sinha is an academic intern for the Globe and Mail. He is a Toronto-based journalist covering personal finance and business, and is completing his graduate studies in journalism from Western University. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from McGill University in 2022.

Zarif has covered municipal politics, arts and culture, and education in his program. Before entering journalism, Zarif worked in press operations at the Canadian Olympic Committee in 2024, supporting Canadian outlets in Paris with breaking news.

When not working, Zarif enjoys playing soccer, going to local repertory cinemas and exploring diverse cuisines. He (sometimes to his detriment) is a Manchester United fan.
