The annual World Darts Championship is a British Christmas tradition like no other. From mid-December to early January, London’s stately Alexandra Palace is turned into one of the zaniest venues in all of sport where dressing up in outlandish outfits is expected and singing while players take aim is encouraged. This year's tournament has 128 players, up from 96 last year, vying for £1-million for first place, double the prize money from a year ago.
