Claire Brosseau says she currently has no quality of life and is housebound because of the severity of her mental illness. She is fighting for access to MAID for the sole medical reason of mental illness. Thirty-five years ago, she was diagnosed with Bipolar 1, a form of Bipolar Disorder characterized by extreme swings in mood. and has been struggling with PTSD for the last five years and can rarely leave her apartment.
