Barclays ( (BCS) ) has provided an update.

On June 26, 2026, Barclays PLC filed a Form 6-K detailing a new U.S. debt issuance under its shelf registration, updating its long-standing senior debt indenture structure. The filing formalised a Twenty-Second Supplemental Indenture with The Bank of New York Mellon and related global note forms, reinforcing the legal framework for Barclays’ senior unsecured funding in the U.S. market.

The bank entered a June 18, 2026 pricing agreement to issue $4.5 billion of fixed-to-floating senior callable notes, split into $1.25 billion due 2030 at 4.911%, $1.5 billion due 2032 at 5.102% and $1.75 billion due 2037 at 5.586%. The deal, underwritten by Barclays Capital Inc. alongside a broad syndicate, strengthens Barclays’ medium- and long-term funding profile and signals ongoing investor demand for its credit in dollar-denominated senior paper.

Spark’s Take on BCS Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BCS is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held back by financial consistency risks—high and recently rising leverage and volatile/negative cash flow—despite solid profitability. Valuation is a key offset with a low P/E, while the earnings call was broadly supportive on returns, capital and shareholder distributions but acknowledged elevated credit costs and notable one-off charges. Technicals are mildly positive but not strong enough to materially lift the overall rating.
