Daiichi Sankyo Revises FY2026 Results After SG&A Accounting Error

Daiichi Sankyo has corrected its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026 after discovering an aggregation error in selling, general and administrative expenses during analysis for the subsequent fiscal year. The error, traced to the recording of accrued payables to business partners, led to revised figures that lower SG&A costs and increase operating profit, profit for the year and earnings per share, while slightly reducing total assets and liabilities and increasing equity.

The company stated that the issue stemmed from an individual processing mistake and does not undermine the effectiveness of its internal controls over financial reporting. Prior-year results other than fiscal 2025 remain unaffected, the earnings forecast for the year ending March 31, 2027 is unchanged, and Daiichi Sankyo plans to file an amended Annual Securities Report and implement additional measures to prevent recurrence and strengthen internal controls.
