Fair Isaac Expands Share Repurchase with New Authorization

Tipranks - Tue Jun 9, 9:00AM CDT

Introducing TipRanks MCP for Agents

Fair Isaac ( (FICO) ) has shared an announcement.

On June 5, 2026, Fair Isaac amended its credit agreement to add an unsecured incremental term loan of $1.5 billion maturing in 2028 and drew the full amount to fund an accelerated share repurchase program. The move increases the company’s leverage but provides immediate capital to reduce its share count and potentially enhance earnings per share.

On June 8, 2026, the board replaced the remainder of FICO’s prior $1.5 billion buyback with a new $2.0 billion stock repurchase authorization and launched a $1.5 billion accelerated share repurchase with Wells Fargo Securities. The ASR, expected to be completed by September 30, 2026, will initially deliver about 1.06 million shares and leave roughly $500 million of additional repurchase capacity, underscoring a strong capital return focus for shareholders.

The most recent analyst rating on (FICO) stock is a Buy
with a $1543.00 price target.

Spark’s Take on FICO Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, FICO is a Outperform.

The score is driven mainly by strong financial execution and an upbeat earnings outlook (raised guidance, strong margins and cash flow), partially offset by elevated leverage/negative equity and weak technical trend signals (price below key moving averages with negative MACD). Valuation is reasonable on P/E but lacks dividend support.
