Gran Tierra Energy ( (GTE) ) has shared an update.

Gran Tierra Energy reported second quarter 2026 working interest production of 41,501 BOEPD, down year over year due to Colombian declines and Canadian asset sales, but delivered a $25 million net profit with higher gross profit per barrel and stronger operating netbacks driven by improved commodity prices and lower costs. Adjusted EBITDA rose to $85 million, funds flow from operations reached $60 million, and the company maintained $127 million in cash, repurchased portions of its 9.75% senior notes at a discount and kept significant hedged and unhedged exposure to oil and gas prices.

Operationally, Gran Tierra completed its Suroriente capital carry in Colombia, enhancing profitability of that block and finishing a six-well Cohembi drilling program under budget, while securing conditions precedent for the Tisquirama contract to support future growth. In Ecuador, approvals for additional field development plans at Charapa, Conejo and Perico are shifting operations from exploration to long-term development, and in Canada the sale of Lodgepole assets plus a new resource report for Dawson Clearwater and Mount Head underscores a strategic pivot toward low-cost light oil plays with substantial contingent and prospective resources.
