Hubbell Issues Senior Notes to Fund NSI Acquisition

Tipranks - Tue Jun 9, 3:40PM CDT

Introducing TipRanks MCP for Agents

Hubbell B ( (HUBB) ) just unveiled an update.

On June 2, 2026, Hubbell Incorporated entered into an underwriting agreement with a syndicate led by J.P. Morgan Securities, BofA Securities and HSBC Securities for a public offering of $1.9 billion of unsecured senior notes maturing in 2031, 2033 and 2036. The notes, priced with coupons between 4.650% and 5.150%, were issued under an existing shelf registration and are subject to customary covenants, change-of-control put provisions and a special mandatory redemption tied to a pending acquisition.

Hubbell received approximately $1.87 billion in net proceeds from the June 8, 2026 issuance and plans to use the capital, along with cash and potential additional borrowings, to help fund its previously announced acquisition of NSI Electrical Buyer, Inc., refinance certain NSI indebtedness and cover transaction costs. The financing underscores Hubbell’s push to expand its electrical solutions portfolio while modestly increasing its unsecured debt stack, with noteholders structurally subordinated to obligations at the company’s subsidiaries and any secured lenders.

The most recent analyst rating on (HUBB) stock is a Buy
with a $584.00 price target.

Spark’s Take on HUBB Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, HUBB is a Outperform.

The score is driven primarily by strong underlying financial quality (profitability, cash generation, and returns) and a constructive earnings outlook with raised 2026 guidance. These positives are partly offset by weak current technicals (below key moving averages with negative MACD) and a relatively high P/E with only a modest dividend yield, while recent M&A financing adds some leverage and execution risk.
