Stellantis Q3 2026 Shipments Edge Down as European BEV Growth Offsets North American Slowdown

Tipranks - Wed Oct 14, 2:38PM CDT

The latest announcement is out from Stellantis ( (IT:STLAM) ).

In the third quarter of 2026, Stellantis reported estimated consolidated vehicle shipments of 1.3 million units for the period ended September 30, 2026, a modest 1% decline year-over-year that reflects mixed regional trends and ongoing portfolio shifts. The figure, which covers unaudited shipments to dealers and customers, underscores the group’s efforts to balance electrification-driven growth in Europe against planned and market-driven volume pressures elsewhere.

North American shipments fell about 12% as planned summer production shutdowns hit key Jeep models, partly offset by stronger demand for Ram trucks, including refreshed variants and expanded powertrains. Enlarged Europe was the main bright spot, with shipments up 10% on robust BEV growth from Stellantis and Leapmotor brands, led by Smart Car platform models such as the Citroën C3, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera and Fiat Grande Panda, and supported by new hybrid and BEV offerings.

Shipments in Middle East & Africa dropped 21%, driven by a sharp decline in Türkiye amid weaker conditions and a shift toward upcoming local small-van production, although higher volumes in Algeria and Morocco cushioned the impact of regional conflict on Gulf markets. South America was broadly stable, with slight overall slippage as strength in Brazil was offset by weakness in Argentina, while Asia Pacific saw a 6% decline to 15,000 units, mainly due to softer demand in Japan despite gains in India from Smart Car-based vehicles.

The Q3 data also reflect Stellantis’ ongoing reporting changes, including the integration of Maserati within its regional sales framework and the inclusion of Leapmotor International shipments in consolidated figures. Taken together, the regional performance highlights the company’s growing reliance on European BEV momentum and emerging-market adjustments to counter cyclical demand and planned production realignments, important for investors tracking Stellantis’ transition toward electrified and globally diversified output.
