Village Farms Cuts Loan Cost and Extends FCC Financing to 2031

Tipranks - Tue Mar 31, 4:16PM CDT

End of Quarter Sale - 50% Off TipRanks

Village Farms International ( (VFF) ) has shared an announcement.

Village Farms International has secured improved terms on its long‑standing loan with Farm Credit Canada, cutting the interest rate by 50 basis points and extending the maturity to February 2031 on a US$15.4 million facility. The loan now carries a variable rate below 7.0%, with all other key conditions unchanged, giving the company more favorable financing and longer runway to support its growth plans.

Management framed the amendment as a sign of both lender confidence and the strengthening of Village Farms’ business, which it expects to continue expanding in 2026. The enhanced loan structure should bolster liquidity and financial flexibility as the company pursues its cannabis, plant-based products and clean energy strategies across Canada, Europe and the United States, potentially reinforcing its competitive standing in these markets.

The most recent analyst rating on (VFF) stock is a Hold with a $2.50 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Village Farms International stock, see the VFF Stock Forecast page.
