Vodafone ( (VOD) ) has issued an update.

Vodafone has reported its capitalization and indebtedness as of March 31, 2026, showing total borrowings of €54.4 billion against total equity of €54.4 billion, resulting in overall capitalization and indebtedness of €108.8 billion. The group held €8.98 billion in cash and cash equivalents and other investments that reduced net borrowings to €37.0 billion, while contingent liabilities from guarantees totaled €1.9 billion.

On May 5, 2026, Vodafone announced an agreement to buy out CK Hutchison Group Telecom’s 49% stake in VodafoneThree Holdings for £4.3 billion (€4.9 billion) in cash, which will make Vodafone the sole owner of the venture and could strengthen its control over strategic assets and future integration. The company stated that, aside from normal foreign-exchange movements and current-period performance, there has been no material change in its capitalization and indebtedness since March 31, 2026, suggesting a stable balance-sheet position ahead of the planned transaction.

Spark’s Take on VOD Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, VOD is a Neutral.

The score is primarily driven by resilient cash generation and a constructive FY27 outlook (EBITDAaL/FCF growth and synergy potential), partially offset by volatile profitability and leverage. Technicals are mildly supportive but not strongly bullish, and valuation is mixed due to a negative P/E despite a solid dividend yield.
