You’re losing your hair. Now what?

Men have more options than ever when it comes to thinning hair. But with so many choices, the best way forward isn’t always clear

I am a balding man. The son of a balding man. Grandson of a bald man. It’s a curse handed down through generations, something I’ve been battling for more than a decade with mild success and very little grace. According to the Canadian Dermatology Association, 80 per cent of men “will have some degree of baldness by age 70.”

If you – like me – are thinning up top, dealing with hair loss can feel like a choose your own adventure game. There are many different pathways to take. One decision may help regrow your luscious locks. Another wastes thousands of dollars on magic beans as smooth as your crowning head. For the past three months I’ve spent hours chatting with experts about a number of different options for hair loss, compiling a list of treatments and best practices to share with our readers.
