She has covered stories about the impact of gentrification on Canada’s local, independent music venues, the plight of Canadian hospitality workers being priced out of the resort towns in which they work, and the exhausting and meticulous details that go into pulling off a “double-header” performance of two back-to-back musicals at the Stratford Theatre.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love the challenge of contextualizing really complex information for readers as much as I love telling the stories of individuals who might get overlooked. As a reporter, I get to do both.
