The latest announcement is out from Newegg Commerce ( (NEGG) ).
Newegg Commerce reported first-quarter 2026 results on May 28, 2026, showing that net sales fell 11.8% year over year to $306.2 million and GMV declined 12.1% to $377.5 million amid memory supply constraints, industrywide pricing pressure and weaker discretionary tech spending. Despite lower revenue and a drop in active customers and repeat purchase rates, the company improved profitability, lifting gross profit 10.3% to $43.7 million, turning a $7.8 million net income from a prior-year loss and nearly doubling adjusted EBITDA to $10.0 million through tighter pricing discipline, proactive inventory management and higher average order values.
Management highlighted that early procurement of constrained memory categories, a focus on margins and growing enterprise demand for premium AI-capable hardware offset some consumer softness and provided a competitive edge during component shortages. Newegg also advanced strategic initiatives in community engagement and AI, including its Newegg Gamer Zone, expanded trade-in programs and efforts to deploy AI both in customer-facing shopping tools and internal operations, aiming to leverage its 25th-anniversary year to strengthen its market position and deliver long-term value to customers, partners and shareholders.
Spark’s Take on NEGG Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, NEGG is a Neutral.
The score is primarily held back by weak financial quality driven by renewed 2025 cash burn and continued losses, alongside a very bearish technical trend (price below all key moving averages with negative MACD). Balance-sheet stability and improved 2025 income-statement results provide some offset, while valuation cannot be supported from the provided P/E and dividend data.
